I bought this candle for Lammas/August, specifically because I LOVE Blackbird Goods' corn fragrance note. The first BG candle I ever bought was Mabon, which had cornbread as one of its elements, and I've been obsessed with that smell ever since. This fragrance is buttery, sweet, bread-like, and slightly green. There's just a hint of some kind of dried floral in there that makes me imagine the smell of walking through a field in late August when the grain crops have been brought in and only the drying stalks are left, but you can still smell the ghost of what was growing, and you know you'll be going home to a fresh-baked loaf of bread from the harvest.
